One Broth One Plate (OBOP) Solutions by NEOGEN is an innovative, independently validated microbiological workflow designed for the rapid detection of Salmonella spp., Listeria spp., and Listeria monocytogenes in food and environmental samples using only one enrichment broth and one single agar plate.
OBOP significantly shortens time-to-result down to just 48 hours while maintaining classical microbiology workflows and delivering superior sensitivity over standard ISO reference methods due to proprietary enrichment formulations.
International Validations & Standards:
• Validated and certified according to ISO 16140-2 as an official alternative testing method.
• AOAC-RI PTM certified (#102002) and MicroVal certified (2019LR88) for Salmonella (OBOP-S) as an alternative to FDA BAM & USDA MLG.
• NF Validation certified (NEO35/05-07/16 & NEO35/06-07/16) for Listeria workflows (OBOP-L).
• One-Hour Supplement Flexibility (OBOP-S): Allows a 1-hour window before adding selective supplement, enabling the same pre-enrichment sample to be used for quality indicator enumerations.
